Tibet in 1939
With the development of the Tibet travel,more and more people know this mysterious place.
In 1938, approved by Adolf Hitler, an expedition team was set by the Nazi SS chief Himmler to Tibet for expedition, with Ernst Schäfer, a natural historian, as its captain. The other members are: Bruno Beger, an anthropologist; Ernst Krause, a botanist, entomologist, and also official photographer; Karl Wienert, a geophysicist and Edmund Geer, the manager of the expedition team.
In January 1939, the team arrived to Tibet. In the following months, the team members performed a comprehensive study on Tibet's culture and customs, geography landforms and racial characteristics, and record over 30,000 meters of film.
The following photographs were taken by the expedition team during their survey there.

With exceptional passion and outstanding leadership, Mrs. Catherine has dedicated herself to Tibet inbound tourism and China tour for 15 years. As one of the handful females who see great potential of Chinese inbound tourism, Catherine has made great contribution to promoting Tibet tourism and enhancing the employment of Tibetans and prosperity of local Tibetan community.
Over the years, she travelled overseas with Tibet Tourism Bureau many times to promote Tibet tourism. Currently, Catherine works as the marketing director of Tibet Vista, an opinion leader behind the whole team of Tibet Vista.
