Mountaineering Welcomed in Tibet
To conquer the Mt. Qomolangma is the ultimate dream of all mountain climbers. Due to the popularity of mountaineering, more and more people with strong desire to reach the summit of Mt. Qomolangma travel to Tibet.
Nyima Tsering, captain of the Tibet Mountaineering Team, listed two reasons for the popularity of mountaineering:
On the one hand, with the improvement of living standards, people begin to move from material pursuits to spiritual pursuits. The mountaineering has no longer been dominated by the explorers. It has been considered as a leisure or challenge to common people. The activity loses its shroud of mystery, but it is enjoyed by more people.
On the other, the improved and updated climbing equipment lowers the difficulty of mountaineering. At the same time, the high-level mountain guides, tight security and excellent logistics support and services have increased the possibility of the mountain adventure for ordinary people.
To offer better services for mountaineering lovers and boost the mountaineering career, a professional alpine rescue team will be formally established in Tibet on September 5. This well-equipped team will cooperate with other teams to insure the safety of climbers and help them to fulfill their dreams.
With exceptional passion and outstanding leadership, Mrs. Catherine has dedicated herself to Tibet inbound tourism and China tour for 15 years. As one of the handful females who see great potential of Chinese inbound tourism, Catherine has made great contribution to promoting Tibet tourism and enhancing the employment of Tibetans and prosperity of local Tibetan community.
Over the years, she travelled overseas with Tibet Tourism Bureau many times to promote Tibet tourism. Currently, Catherine works as the marketing director of Tibet Vista, an opinion leader behind the whole team of Tibet Vista.
