Tibet enters winter earlier than mainland China. Now, some areas of Tibet could witness snow. Especially northwest Tibet sees snow more frequently.

Tibet in winter
In Gulu Township, 92 kilometers away from the south of Nagqu Town, Drolma Canyon Scenic Spot with an average elevation of 4,700 meters is covered with snow. It has a nice natural environment with beautiful mountains and lakes. However, in June and July, the weather here is temperate and comfortable. With flowers and grass everywhere, it is very attractive. [Photo/Xinhua]

Prayer flags are fluttering in wind. Winter comes early in Tibet compared with inland China. However, it is still sunny in Lhasa at most of the time. Tibet also witnesses some tourists during the early winter. These tourists travelling to Tibet during this season can avoid the crowd and save cost on the Tibet tour.
