Tibet Vista Received its First Bhutanese Tour Group in Tibet
As early Sept. approached, Tibet reached one of its best seasons for travel, esp. travel from Lhasa to EBC. Coincidentally, Tibet Vista also received its first large group tour from Bhutan in this prime season for Tibet tour. The contingent of 21 Bhutanese tourists came to Tibet to worship their holy Tibetan Buddhas. They had a great time travelling from Lhasa to Shanan and winded up in Shigatse before heading back to Lhasa.
Our Bhutanese clients took photos before legendary Potala Palace in Lhasa.
Previously, rarely do you see Bhutanese citizens travelling in Tibet. However, now, with the warming of Sino-Bhutan relations, more Bhutanese travelers can easily get Tibet Permit to visit its neighbor, holy Tibet.
Guide to Bhutanese Citizens Preparing to Visit Tibet
a. Travel Documents Needed: Tibet Travel Permit + Group Tourist Visa
Since there is no direct flight from Bhutan to Lhasa, Bhutanese citizens have to travel to Nepal and enter Tibet via Sino-Nepal border, i.e. Gyirong Port. You need to apply for the permit as early as possible, at least 15 days early before your departure.
b. At least 4 Bhutanese travelers can make a group to Tibet.
c. The elderly over 70 years are not suggested for Tibet tour, for safety concerns due to high altitude.
