Named after numbers, there are many Tibetan clothing stores gathering on the Beijing Middle Road which leads to Barkhor Street and Ramoche Monastery, Lhasa City. Local residents always come here to customize Tibetan costumes.

"Every year when Losar, the Tibetan New Year comes, my parents would bring me here to make new clothes," said 15-year teenager Chusang.

Generally speaking an ordinary Tibetan costume costs about 500 yuan (81 US dollars), and the better ones may take 1,000 yuan (162 US dollars) or even more, according to different fabrics, designs and accessories.

Traditional Tibetan costumes for men are usually in grey, brown and black series, while those for women would be more multicolored. The youth prefers cool colors and bright colors, and married women usually have a Bangdian, meaning Tibetan styled apron tied around waists, which is made of colorful pulu, traditional woolen fabrics of Tibet, while unmarried ladies don't do so.

These several tailors are often visited by the local, and even those Tibetans living in suburb or pasturing areas would be attracted to here specially to have new clothes before Losar, the Tibetan New Year.
