Qinghai Lake International Walking Festival Kicks Off
The 2014 Qinghai Lake International Walking Festival was opened in Ganzi River Camp, north of Qinghai Lake in Qinghai Province, Aug. 2, 2014.
Themed as "Fearless Heart and Infinite Beauty", the walking festival has attracted over 1,000 hikers to arrive there, appropriately three times the number of 2012. It is the 3rd year for some of them to walk around the Qinghai Lake.
With a total distance of 110 kilometers, the four-day competition starts from the Ganzi River Camp and ends in the Erlangjian Scenic Spot.
"Besides helping build up people’s body, the walking festival is conductive to presenting public great charm of Qinghai Lake. This is our objective here," said Yangpei, deputy director of Qinghai Sports Bureau.
The increasing number of participants marks the festival has gained more recognition in recent years, he added.
With exceptional passion and outstanding leadership, Mrs. Catherine has dedicated herself to Tibet inbound tourism and China tour for 15 years. As one of the handful females who see great potential of Chinese inbound tourism, Catherine has made great contribution to promoting Tibet tourism and enhancing the employment of Tibetans and prosperity of local Tibetan community.
Over the years, she travelled overseas with Tibet Tourism Bureau many times to promote Tibet tourism. Currently, Catherine works as the marketing director of Tibet Vista, an opinion leader behind the whole team of Tibet Vista.
