All 11 tourists injured in the three-car pile-up on the NO.318 National Highway within the Nyemo County of Tibet are now all hospitalized and none of which is life-threatening.

Reporters  learnt from General Hospital of Tibet Armed Police that all those doctors with associate chief physician level and above have been standing by to receive the wounded upon receiving the news in the afternoon on August 9.

Unceasing phone calls for confirmed information from relatives and friends of the tourists who might be involved in the accident were heard in the 24-hour duty room.

"We give the reply after carefully checking the list of the injured," said a worker on duty.

Chen Quanguo, Party secretary of Tibet Autonomous Region and Losang Jamcan, chairman of Tibet gave the order in the first time to rescue the victims and minimize the casualties at all costs.

A green channel was opened in order to deliver the wounded to the hospital as soon as possible.

Deng Xiaogang, vice chairman of Tibet's regional government and other senior officials arrived at the scene to command the rescue work upon hearing the bad news.
