Free congenital heart disease program for Tibetan children
Tibet Autonomous Region is an important part of China. People who have Tibet travel can understand the attention that Chinese government has payed on it. From time to time inland medical teams will launch medical programs such as the congenital heart disease program for Tibetan children in the cooperation with local hospitals in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region.

A medical aid program was launched for children with congenital heart disease in Nyingchi Prefecture in southwest China's Tibet on August 19, 2012.
Six cardiologists from Guangdong Province were invited to attend the opening ceremony, to conduct congenital heart disease screening for children patients from Zayul and Pome County of Tibet’s Nyingchi Prefecture, which announced the start of the free treatment program.

According to local officials, children diagnosed with congenital heart disease will receive free surgery and medical service in seven hospitals of Guangdong Province, which is a part of Guangdong’s aid-Tibet project.

The congenital heart disease screening for patients from Nyingchi Prefecture had been finished by the end of July, and 865 suspected children patients have been found, all of whom will be further diagnosed by experts group. And those who need surgery will go inland hospitals for free medical treatment successively.
