Most people know Namtso Lake in northern Tibet even they have never been there. The Namtso Lake is the top eco-tourist destination in Tibet.
With promotion increasing and infrastructure improved in recent years, Namtso Lake has become the hottest scenic spot in Tibet. 90% of the tourists to Tibet would make a tour to Namtso Lake.
Namtso means "heavenly lake" in the Tibetan language. The lake is located between Damxung County and Palgon County, 240 kilometers away from Lhasa.
The lake is 4,718 meters above sea level, 70 kilometers long and 30 kilometers wide. It is the largest salt lake in Tibet and the second largest in China as well as the highest lake in the world.
A national park was unveiled at the Namtso in Ocotber of this year. The national park will be open to tourists all year long. The admission fee to the Namtso National Park is 120CNY during peak season (April to November) and 100CNY during the rest time.
With exceptional passion and outstanding leadership, Mrs. Catherine has dedicated herself to Tibet inbound tourism and China tour for 15 years. As one of the handful females who see great potential of Chinese inbound tourism, Catherine has made great contribution to promoting Tibet tourism and enhancing the employment of Tibetans and prosperity of local Tibetan community.
Over the years, she travelled overseas with Tibet Tourism Bureau many times to promote Tibet tourism. Currently, Catherine works as the marketing director of Tibet Vista, an opinion leader behind the whole team of Tibet Vista.
