According to many Tibet travel agencies, Nyingchi in east Tibet is tourists' first destination to Tibet. With the approaching of the week-long National Holiday of China, many tourists have booked their tour to Tibet from local travel agents. Most tourists’ first destination in Tibet is Nyingchi, the lowest area of Tibet. It is a good idea to travel to Nyingchi for acclimation at first.

As the National Holiday meets the Mid-autumn Festival this year, more travelers decide to spend this long holiday in Tibet. Except Nyingchi, Lhasa, Lake Namtso, Shigatse and Mt. Everest Base Camp are also on the hot tourist destinations among Chinese tourists.

But the temperature will drop rapidly at night. Thus, warm clothes are must. Down clothes are recommended to keep warm in early morning and at night especially when you are planning to visit Mt. Everest and Lake Namtso.
