Tourists take photos in Nyingchi
The 12th Peach Blossom Festival featuring various activities was kicked off in Nyingchi Tibet, on March 26, 2014, Xinhua reported.
Themed "compassion and romance", this festival has made it different from the previous ones by choosing VIP couples from tourists and conducting medical treatments for cataract patients in Nyingchi, according to the organizer.
The festival also serves as a platform for inviting investments. At the opening ceremony, renowned companies signed agreements with the government of Nyingchi, to boosts areas of tourism, instinctive agriculture and husbandry and Lulang international tourist town.
The festival marks the beginning of Tibet’s tourist season. According to Tsewang Palden, deputy director of Nyingchi, this year’s tourist number exceeded that of last year, four special tourists trains are aimed for the festival, and plane tickets have almost been sold out from Chengdu to Nyingchi during the festival.
With exceptional passion and outstanding leadership, Mrs. Catherine has dedicated herself to Tibet inbound tourism and China tour for 15 years. As one of the handful females who see great potential of Chinese inbound tourism, Catherine has made great contribution to promoting Tibet tourism and enhancing the employment of Tibetans and prosperity of local Tibetan community.
Over the years, she travelled overseas with Tibet Tourism Bureau many times to promote Tibet tourism. Currently, Catherine works as the marketing director of Tibet Vista, an opinion leader behind the whole team of Tibet Vista.
