Qinghai Lake in Qinghai Province is listed as one of the top 10 summer resorts since the average daily temperature in the hottest period of summer is only about 15 Celsius. It is very beautiful and a good place for relaxing. Thus, it is always taken in a Xining to Lhasa Tour.

In the northwest of China, Qinghai Lake, lying on the Tibetan Plateau is called "green lake", "blue sea" or "fairyland", because of the marvelous natural beauty reflected on it.

Upon seeing such amazing sight, no one would not cheer up.

Covering an area of 4,583 sq km, Qinghai Lake is the largest inland and salt-water lake in China. It rests 4,500 meters above sea level on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, surrounded by four mountain ranges. The lake is known for its fascinating color changes, depending on the angle, time of day, and season it is viewed from. The colors range from light green, blue, green, and grey, to orange and yellow.

The east and west sides of the lake is long and the south and the north sides of the lake is narrow, looks like the oval shape of the maple leave. In the northwest of Qinghai Lake, there is Bird Island, named after the tens of thousands of migration birds on the island. When the birds are flying, the sky is covered to darkness, which is the awesome picture on Qinghai Lake.

It is not an exaggeration to say that Qinghai Lake is a miracle that has been endowed by a deity who has decorated the water with many little islands.

If you are lucky, you may see a fresh rainbow after a nice rainfall appearing above the extended grassland at the foot of the mountains.
