In order to clear the extra tourist rush in summer, a special tourist train to Tibet will be operated in summer 2013, according Qinghai-Tibet Railway Company. Tourists make a Tibet train tour will enjoy breathtaking scenery along the Qinghai-Tibet Railway.

The special tourist train to Tibet is named as “Everest” and will be in operation since June 1st, 2013. It will attract and facilitate more tourists to travel to Tibet.

The 'Everest' tourist train is an aerobic train. It is spacious, comfortable and can carry 600 passengers. Both hard and soft sleeper berths are available on the train. Besides, full-time tour guides and professional doctors are also available on the special tourist train to Lhasa. Travelers can enjoy physical examination for free.

The special tourist train starts from Xining, capital of Qinghai Province every four days. The operation of the special train to Tibet will greatly relieve the pressure of limited Tibet train tickets compared with the great demand during the peak season of Tibet tourism.

The “Everest” Tourist Train will end its service in mid-October when the peak tourism season of Tibet will also come to the end.
