As the peak tourism season has come to Tibet, it is difficult to book an air ticket or train ticket to Lhasa and out of Lhasa. To meet travelers’ demand, two non-stop new flights from Kunming to Lhasa and return will be operated from July 10, 2012. Both the two new flights are operated by China Eastern Airlines. In this case, there will be four flights flying between Lhasa and Kunming.
Before this year, there was only one flight also operated by China Eastern Airlines from Kunming to Lhasa with a stopover in Shangri-la. On the 10th of June, another flight is launched to Lhasa from Kunming as so to meet tourists’ need.
But two flights absolutely cannot meet the demand, with more and more travelers flocking into Tibet during the summer holiday. Therefore, China Eastern Airlines decided to launch another two flights to Lhasa from the 10th of July. Tourists can travel between Lhasa and Kunming more conveniently; even get more discounted air tickets.
The two new flights MU7655 and MU7657 from Kunming to Lhasa respectively start from Kunmng Changshui Airport at 6:10am and 8:50am and arrive at Lhasa Gonggar Airport at 8:45am and 11:40am. While the flights MU7656 and MU7658 from Lhasa to Kunming respectively start at 9:35am and 12:30pm and arrive at 12:10pm and 14:10pm. The non-stop flights can help tourists
travelling from Kunming to Lhasa to save much time, even money, and get more convenience.
