My trip on the Tang-Tibet Road started with enthusiastic Dengqun Repa dancing. As the tempo became more and more intense, my trip amazed me with more and more surprises.
Upon entering Qusog Countym a beautiful rainbow bridged the valley we had past and behind us was white earth. The highway went through the rainbow arch and Nagchu, pale in my impression, became colorful. Along the 317 National Highway, Baqen gradually revealed itself in the dawn, but still with a vague white veil, looking like a mirage. Cooking smoke curled upwards and clouds wreathed mountainside. To find the mysterious Skull Wall, the car continued to jolt on 317 National Highway until it reached Damu Temple. The walls were located in one of temple yards. The east, west and south walls of the yard were all embedded densely with real skulls– the scene was thrilling and quite creepy.
I hit the road early the next day. My car almost got caught in mud when I arrived at Shaqucca County. I struggled for 3 hours before finally setting off for the much desired place–Nagchu.
