Tibetan antelopes live a gregarious life in alpine highlands, alpine meadows, high frigid deserts, surrounding lakes and swamps of 3,250 to 5,500 meters above the sea level. They go out and forage every dawn and dusk. In winter and spring, as the food is scant, they are often found to be busy with food hunting.
Every June, large groups of Tibetan antelopes start their mysterious migration. High up in the plateau of unpopulated areas of the North Tibet, which is 5,000 meters above the sea level, they tramp over Tonglha Mountains and through glaciers. They follow a fixed route of more than 300 km northward to give birth to their babies. 2 mothers later, with flocks of young antelopes, they would go back and join the male antelopes that are waiting for them.
In the forbidden zone of life, female Tibetan antelopes, even pregnant ones, can run at a speed of 70km/h.
