Bright multi-colored tulips bloom in the Dragon King Park of Lhasa, attracting local residents and tourists to hold their steps and take photos of the old city’s fascinating beauty in spring.
Tulips were first introduced to Tibet in November, 2012. Plateau-friendly tulips of eight species were first grown at Dzongyab Lukhang Park, courtyard of Lhasa municipal Party committee and Sunrise Hotel in Lhasa. Tulip flowers in Lhasa come in a wide variety of colors, including red, white, yellow, orange, pink and dual color.
