World’s most wonderful trek to EBC

If you want to do an adventure tour in Tibet, doing a trekking in Tibet should be a lifetime adventure for you. As one of the classic trekking tours in Tibet, the trek from Tingri to Everest Base Camp is the world’s most wonderful trek to EBC. Many trekkers would like to choose this trek in Tibet for it provides tourists the chance to go through the barren mountains and desert. Trekkers who've chose this route said that it is really an unforgettable experience to get close to the highest peak above the sea level step by step.

It takes about 3-4 days to finish this Tibet trekking tour, about 70 kilometers. The Tibetan villages along this route could provide accommodation for the hikers, but it is best to prepare the tent, sleeping bag and simple kitchen wares in case of need. Cold-proof coat should be prepared even you are planning to make this trekking tour in summer. The best season for trekking from Tingri to Mt. Everest Base Camp is between April and October.

The trekking tour generally starts from the 5145 KM Milestone of the Sino-Nepal Friendship Highway, about 6 kilometers away to the west of Tingri, and ends at the famous Everest Base Camp.

Famous for its spectacular mountain peaks and the loyalty and friendliness of its inhabitants (the Sherpas), the Everest area is one of the most popular destinations for tourists to Tibet. While many of the routes through the mountains are arduous, there are ample places to rest and enjoy a meal along the way. Furthermore, don't worry about getting lost. Just ask a local the way to the next village on your route, and they will direct you. Most Sherpas under the age of fifty can at least understand some basic English, and some even can speak it fluently.
