Xegar (also Shegar) is not exactly a big town, and selection of lodging was limited. The Qomolangma Hotel is the best local hotel in Tingri which has dozens of standard rooms with private bath room. Accordingly, the hotel is the most expensive hotel in local. The room facility and the power supply look old. The hotel water and heater do not work sometimes because of frequent power failures. Hotel restaurant does not have a lot of light and was somewhat dark but the foods are surprisingly delicious. You can have a private bath in the room, but the hot water need to take a while to start.
