Compared with the 4-star hotels, the 2-star or 3-star hotels in Lhasa are much cheaper. New Mandala Hotel, Jinbo Grand Hotel, Shangbala Hotel and Tashi Choten Hotel are very popular economic hotels in Lhasa for their superior location. All of them are close to the Potala and Barkhor. But most of them do not accept international credit cards and provide relatively simple breakfast. Some of them are also closed in winter.
