Film on Tibetan Thangka Premieres in Beijing
A Tibetan-language film telling stories about Tibetan painters dedicated to inherit the traditional Thangka art premiered in Beijing on May 7th ,according to CRI.
The film, titled "Thangka" and directed by Chinese mainland director Hasi Chaoluis, is about stories of dozens of Tangka painters’ learning experience.
The film also showed the glamorous cultural relics and splendid natural scenery of Tibet and displayed lives of the Tibetan masses and the development of Tibet.
"We go deep into the Tangka painters’s studying experience, seeking to present a real Tibet through the development of Tangka", according to the film director.
The film has been selected for screening in the upcoming Cannes Film Festival this month. It will attracts many people who want to travel to Tibet.
With exceptional passion and outstanding leadership, Mrs. Catherine has dedicated herself to Tibet inbound tourism and China tour for 15 years. As one of the handful females who see great potential of Chinese inbound tourism, Catherine has made great contribution to promoting Tibet tourism and enhancing the employment of Tibetans and prosperity of local Tibetan community.
Over the years, she travelled overseas with Tibet Tourism Bureau many times to promote Tibet tourism. Currently, Catherine works as the marketing director of Tibet Vista, an opinion leader behind the whole team of Tibet Vista.
