Celebrations of 55th anniversary of Tibetan Serfs' Emancipation
Tibetan legislators endorsed a bill on January 19, 2009 to designate March 28th as an annual Serfs Emancipation Day, to mark the date on which about 1 million serfs in the region were freed 55 years ago. At that time, 95 percent of people in Tibet were serfs.
Border guards from Nyalam Frontier Inspection Station and students of primary school of Zham Town show their paintings which reflect changes of the new Tibet.
With exceptional passion and outstanding leadership, Mrs. Catherine has dedicated herself to Tibet inbound tourism and China tour for 15 years. As one of the handful females who see great potential of Chinese inbound tourism, Catherine has made great contribution to promoting Tibet tourism and enhancing the employment of Tibetans and prosperity of local Tibetan community.
Over the years, she travelled overseas with Tibet Tourism Bureau many times to promote Tibet tourism. Currently, Catherine works as the marketing director of Tibet Vista, an opinion leader behind the whole team of Tibet Vista.
