Weather in Lhasa gets warm in May. If you make a Lhasa tour in May, you will find lots of flowers blooming in Lhasa. Most flowers are in full bloom and the nature like a garden filled with fresh flowers and air, makes Lhasa, capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region a charming city, attracting residents and tourists to indulge in the beautiful view.

May is also the peak time to travel to Tibet because it is the best time to view the Mt. Everest in a year. This world’s highest peak is always hiding in mist during the monsoon season (from late June to August). During April and May or September and October, the Everest shows its whole pretty appearance to visitors.

In addition, the annual grandest religious festival, Saga Dawa Festival is usually celebrated in May each year. Saga Dawa festival is held to celebrate Sakyamuni's enlightenment. In 2013, the Saga Dawa Festival will fall on May 25th. （See 2013 Saga Dawa Festival Tour Route)
