Tibet Hugs Higher Tourism Season

With the imminent Shoton Festival, one of the grandest traditional festivals in Tibet, Tibet hails another high tourism season which causes a bad shortage of accommodation, train tickets and air tickets, even tickets for many historical and scenic spots. Although the Shoton festival is still one month away, Tibet has already entered the busiest tourist season. Many hotels near scenic spots in Lhasa have been fully reserved. In addition, airlines show that recently no discount or limited discount is offered to flights to Lhasa from other major inland cities. The train tickets and air tickets to Lhasa from Chengdu are badly short recently.
