Too Many Tourists Flock into Tibet After the Anniversary Celebration
After the 60th Anniversary Celebration of Tibet's Peaceful Liberation, thousands of tourists travel to Tibet. Tibet reopened to foreign tourists from July 22, 2011, after nearly a month-long suspension which forced many foreign tourists to put off their Tibet travel plan to August. In addition, it is the summer holiday of China and lots of domestic tourists travel to Tibet, too. Moreover, the Shoton Festival in Tibet will come very soon. Therefore, the demand of Tibet's tourist market is increasing dramatically. Tour guides, tourist vehicles, hotels and other tourism facilities are deadly in short. Accordingly, the prices increase greatly, even the expense on getting a ticket of the Potala rises several times. Besides, it is also very hard to get a train ticket or air ticket to Tibet. In a word, Tibet tour is really extremely hot in August and September of 2011. It is said that the peak tourism season of Tibet will extend for more than one month.
