Beijing and Tibet Tour Map

To the majority of first-timers to China, Beijing is definitely the first visit. Just Like other mega-metropolitan cities New York, Tokyo, Moscow, London, Beijing wows countless international tourists with its architectural wonders, and rich history. The easy transportation connecting with virtually all corners of the world and huge business opportunities make it a modern “golden rush” city for people from all walks of life.

With winding Hutong, jaw-dropping imperial palaces, and modern Olympic stadium and alluring night life, it would be a perfect choice to dive into the massive Beijing city, filled with contradiction of modern and ancient charms right before heading to an utterly religious kingdom in holy Tibet.

As a pioneer of Tibet inbound tourism, we would like to facilitate your Beijing and Tibet tour by offering services ranging from Tibet Travel Permit application, Tibet train and flight booking and hand-picked Beijing-Tibet tour packages, and plenty of useful insiders’ travel tips. So far, taking Qinghai-Tibet Railway or domestic flight to Lhasa are the two major ways to reach Tibet. And for better acclimatization to high altitude of Tibet (e.g. Lhasa has an altitude of 3658m), It’s advisable to take Tibet train in and fly out.

  • Note: Situated on northern plain, Beijing has an altitude of 44m while while Tibet is perched on Qinghai-Tibet Plateau averaging an altitude of above 4000m. It takes about 40:10h to reach Lhasa (3658m) from Beijing by train; whereas by not-stop flight, it takes around 4.30h.
