Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Beijing, Free time to explore the city
Day 2: Day tour to explore ancient Beijing, visit Forbidden City and Summer Palace(B,L)
The Forbidden City is the best preserved imperial palace in China and the largest ancient palatial structure in the world. The splendid architecture of the Forbidden City represents the essence and culmination of traditional Chinese architectural accomplishment.
The Summer Palace is the largest royal garden in the world built in The grandeur and beauty of the Palace is overwhelming and is sure to impress anyone.

Day 3: Day tour to Mutianyu Great Wall(B)
Mutianyu Great Wall, featured “graceful”, enjoy the best quality among all Wall sections, 80km north-east of Beijing. Less tourists and well protected than Baidaling Section. It is is encased by sprightly streams and lush greenery. Mutianyu Great Wall is older than Badaling Great Wall, it has 22 watchtowers, about one every kilometer.
MuTianYu Great Wall passes through beautiful forested hills with streams. There is a cable car at MuTianYu to whisk you up onto the Great Wall.
In the evening, you will be transferred to the Beijing West train station for the overnight train to Xian.

Day 4: Day Tour to Terra-Cotta Warriors, Emperor Qinshihuang Mausoleum, Banpo Neolithic Village(B)
The archeological site of Banpo Village, built more than 6,000 year ago, and you will see how the resident matriarchic tribe used to survive in the Neolithic age.
The Emperor’s Terracotta Army. The Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses are the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century. These terracotta warriors and horses are the size of a real army, and were buried alongside the Emperor in a vast underground palace.

Day 5: Train to Xining, then change the Qinghai-Tibet Train to Lhasa
Day 6: Qinghai-Tibet Plateau Sightseeing on the train, arrive in Lhasa in the afternoon. Acclimatize the high altitude
Day 7: Day tour to visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkor Street(B,D)
The Potala Palace is the highest Palace in the world, and the palace of the famous Dalai lama. It was put to use since the 7th Century by the 33rd great king of Tibet. The most valuable collections of Potala Palace are the gilded burial stupas of former Dalai Lamas and meditation Cave of the 33rd great king of Tibet.
The Jokhang temple is the holiest temple in Tibet and founded in the 7th century. Inside you can see the statue of Buddha Sakyamuni at the age of twelve, which is the most precious and holiest things in Tibetan Buddhism.
Barkhor street is the street , where you can do kora (a religious circle of a building or mountain) with pilgrims and locals, and explore the old market. Tibetan Teahouse, where you can find the real Lhasa leisure life, with local people, enjoy the local food at local atmosphere.

Day 8: Day tour to visit two important monasteries in Lhasa, Sera & Drepung(B)
Drepung monastery is the biggest Gelug monasteries of Tibet, founded in 1416 by Jamyang choge, now is also the biggest one with hundreds of monks study inside. Buddhist Sculpture Carving, Appreciate one of the amazing Tibetan Art – Stone Carving near Drepung.
Lama Debating inside Sera Monastery, you can see how Lamas practice their study every day and get to know how they learn Tibetan Buddhism from teacher and others. This is the most amazing section of your Tibet tour.

Day 9: Drive from Lhasa to Shigatse, visit Yamdrotso Lake, Karola Glacier, Pelkor Monastery(B)
Yamdrok-tso (4400m), 200km from Lhasa, is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet, the lake is in turquoise colore and surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Karola Glaceir, It isn’t a huge glacier, but the white glacier is spectacular from the highway, it is close enough (about 300 yards) to walk to from the highway.
Gyantse Kunbum, inside the famous Pelkor Monastery, is the largest stupa in Tibet with its crown-like golden dome and inside are endless series of tiny chapels you’ll find thousands of exquisite painting.
Then you can enjoy the far view of Gyangtse Fortress. And tourists can visit traditional Barley Mill and view the landscape of Barley Field(in summer).

Day 10: Visit Tashilunpo Monastery, Himalaya Mountain Range, Rongpuk Monastery
Tashilunpo Monastery is now the largest functioning religious institution in Tibet and one of its great monastic sights. The huge golden statue of the Future Buddha is the largest gilded statue in the world. It is also the home of 11th Panchen Lama. Panorama of Himalaya. At Gyawula Pass(5180m), you can see the panorama of Himalaya range and Mt. Lhotse (8516m), Mt. Everest (8848m), Mt. Qowowuyag (8201m) and Mt. Mayalu (8463m).
Golden Everest (if the weather permits). At sunset, the summit of Mt. Everest takes on the reddish sun light, glowing gently, which is the best time to view Mt. Everest. The Rongbuk Monastery. The lonely monastery stands on 5200m height at the foot of Mt. Everest, and is the highest monastery in the world.

Day 11: Visit Everest Base Camp, drive to Kyilong(B)
Hike to EBC. Taking 2 hours, the travelers are about to complete 4kms’ hike on mountain road to the highest point in the world. The Panorama of Himalaya(Tongla Pass 5120m). Tongla Pass(5120m) is the last high mountain pass before getting down to Sino-Nepal border, at Tongla Pass you will have another a closer view of the panorama of 7 mountains of Himalaya which are all above 7000 meters, and esp. Mt. Shishapangma(8012 meters).
Gorges and Forest. When heading for the border, the elevation is reduced to close to 2000 meters, the terrain of the Himalayan border becomes deep valleys and waterfalls. The forest gradually appears, the glaciers and snow-capped mountains are high above in the sky the valley.
Kyirong Border, the border town between Tibet and Nepal, has rich resources of natural scenery, the most amazing view is the snow-capped mountains standing behind the forest, which makes scenery take varied forms.

Day 12: Exit China to Nepal from Kyirong, continue to Kathmandu, drop off at hotel in Kathmandu
