Our Senior Tour Guide - Pema
" Hello! Thank you for giving me this opportunity to introduce myself. My nam is Pema. I am 30 years old. I was born in a nomad family and grew up in a beautiful snow mountain village of Tibet. My homeland relatives and landscapes have cultivated my honest and strong character. As a nomad in Tibet we normally live in a tent with animals,yaks,sheep,goats and horses.
I left the nomad life to study Buddhism in a small monastery when I was 12 years old. I then went to study English in a night school. Because of my English teacher from the US and Canada, I understood how to speak very good English. Also in Tibet, we have a very different culiture from other parts of the world that motivated me to become a tour guide. I am very interested to tell people about Tibet and the life of Tibetan who lives with an altitude of (16500ft), as like my nomad family. I became a tour guide in 2006.I enjoy to inform people about Tibetan cultural, as well as to learn about other countries cultures.
