"Beating Ghost" on the Tibetan New Year
Monks in costumes attend a religious ceremony, known as "Da Gui" or "beating ghost", at Yong He Gong, also known as the Tibetan Buddhist Lama Temple. The ceremony is held annually during the Tibetan New Year as it is believed to expel evil spirits from the monastery.
People flock to Yong He Gong for praying.
