Policy on Tibet permit 2013 updated on March 27

Tibettravel org just got the exciting news that solo travelers can get Tibet permit again, that is, the policy requiring travelers to travel in a tour group with at least five tourists from the same country has been removed. But travellers are also required to apply for the Tibet permit through a legal Tibet travel agency.

Tibet starts to issuing Tibet permit at the end of March again, so travelers can visit Tibet since early April. Now, you do not need to worry about how to find travel mates, but more travelers in a tour group can also cut down the cost of Tibet tour as you can share cost on many aspects, such as tourist vehicle, tour guide, driver, etc.
