Meconopsis

Belonging to the Papaveraceae family, Meconopsis is a famous alpine flower and can bloom near the snow line, so it's also known as “the closest flower to heaven”. It’s popular for its blue flowers, but many species also have many other colors including white, orange, pink and yellow.

It usually grows at altitudes between 3000 to 5000 meters in the Himalayas and the Hengduan Mountains. Every year from June to August in places such as Niangregou, Himalayan Wutiaogou and Jiali County, you can see the thriving life in the most challenging environments.

Snow Lotus Flower

Snow lotus flower, formally known as Saussurea involucrata, is known for its lotus-like corolla. It blooms from July to August, and each blooming period usually lasts for about 10 days.

It only grows at altitudes between 3000 to 5000 meters of snow-capped mountains where the temperatures are extremely low and the oxygen is thin. If you are lucky enough to see the white and aromatic flower, you will be amazed at its strong vitality.

Rheum Nobile

Rheum nobile grows at an altitude of around 4000 meters. It usually takes 5 to 7 years to mature but only blooms once in its lifetime. The flower of Rheum nobile is yellow and resembles a splendid pagoda.

Nyingchi Peach Blossom Festival: The Most Popular Blooming Attraction in Tibet

Due to its lower altitude, Nyingchi welcomes spring early in March, offering breathtaking views of peach blossoms. The pink blooms of wild peach trees appear like rosy clouds, in contrast with the snow-capped peaks and blue rivers, provides a perfect chance for a Tibet photography tour.

Nyingchi Peach Blossom Festival are held every year to celebrate the magnificence of nature. The festival has become a major attraction of spring tourism in Tibet.
