Hello, I’m Emma. Before becoming a travel consultant at Tibet Vista, I worked as a teacher of literature and history.
My background trained me to think in details and connections. I’ve always had the habit of asking why - whether it’s a date on a timeline or a symbol on a monastery wall. During my first year working in Tibet, I often found myself studying monastery murals and tracing the historical links between monasteries, earning the nickname “the archaeologist” from my colleagues.
This same mindset shapes the way I design every journey:
Over the past year, I’ve helped more than 600 travelers from the German-speaking world plan their journeys across China. One of my favorite memories was introducing German guests to Sichuan hot pot. When the spice had them reaching for tissues, I laughed and said, “This is Chengdu’s way of showing passion.” We all burst out laughing, sipping tea and bravely continuing the challenge together. Moments like this remind me that travel is not just about landscapes, but about experiences, shared stories, and genuine connection.
As a mother of a young boy, life has taught me deep patience and empathy. I bring this “motherly attentiveness” into my work: carefully reviewing every altitude change in the itinerary and double-checking every Tibet Travel Permit, so my guests can travel with complete peace of mind.
