Day 2: Lhasa Tour: Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street Kora, Sera Monastery (B)
In the morning, after breakfast, you will immerse yourself in the sacred Jokhang Temple, the spiritual heart of Tibet. Follow a long line of pilgrims in the dimly lit chambers to worship the life-size statue of a 12-year-old Buddha Sakyamuni.
Then, walk clockwise with prostrating Tibetan pilgrims to experience the famous 1km Barkhor circuit kora (pilgrimage trek) and unwind in a local teahouse to rest your legs and enjoy Tibetan sweet tea, noodles, momos, and Sha Phaley (crispy Tibetan bread), while soaking in the lively local Tibetan life, chatting with friendly locals. If time and energy allow, you may enjoy a slow wander through the quiet backstreets of Lhasa.
In the afternoon, you will explore Sera Monastery, the second-largest Gelug monastery next to Drepung. You can appreciate the exquisitely made sand Mandala and admire Buddhist paintings.
The biggest highlight is to watch the dramatic monk debate (15:00 - 17:00, from Monday to Saturday). By clapping hands, jumping, yelling, and rolling a Buddhist mala, the standing monk furiously debates with the other monk sitting on the ground about Buddhist philosophy.

Day 3: Lhasa Tour: Potala Palace & Photo Sessions, Norbulingka Picnic (B)
After breakfast, your first stop is the Potala Palace, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Lhasa Old Town. Discover the lives and stories of the Dalai Lamas through history within the palace, and the extraordinary treasures it holds. The most valuable collections of Potala Palace are the gilded burial stupas of former Dalai Lamas and the meditation cave of the 33rd great king of Tibet.
Since visiting the Potala Palace involves a steady climb up stone stairs, for some of our senior guests who may find walking difficult, we can arrange a comfortable teahouse or café nearby, where you can relax and still enjoy beautiful views of the Potala Palace without the need for a long climb.
After touring the Potala Palace, you can enjoy a lovely photo session. Our local guide will lead you to Tibetan dress boutiques and workshops, where you can feel the textures of traditional Tibetan attire and listen to shopowners explaining the design, raw materials, and legends of Tibetan traditional dress.
Besides, you can dress in Tibetan robes with tourist-friendly make-up and styling services, and later our local guide and professional photographers will take you to iconic landmarks like the Potala Palace or Barkor Street in Lhasa for a memorable photo shoot.
In the afternoon, we head to Norbulingka Park, the former summer palace of the Dalai Lamas. Here, we’ll set up a traditional Lingka (Tibetan picnic) under lush trees. You can sip Tibetan sweet tea, snack on local pastries, and enjoy the cool afternoon breeze. Besides, you can follow our local guide to explore the traditional Tibetan palaces within walking distance.
After a full but gentle day of sightseeing, we return to the hotel for a comfortable rest.

Day 4: Lhasa Tour: Tibetan Family Cooking Class, Tibetan Intangible Cultural Heritage Workshop (B, L)
After a hearty breakfast, you will visit a welcoming local Tibetan home where you are invited to sit down, unwind, and enjoy friendly conversation with your host family.
As you chat about daily life on the plateau, you can also explore their traditional home décor, prayer flags, handcrafted wooden furniture, and sacred ornaments that quietly reflect Tibetan beliefs and lifestyle most naturally.
The experience continues with a hands-on Tibetan momo (dumpling) -making session, guided step by step by your host family. In a cozy and unhurried atmosphere, you will learn how to prepare the dough, shape the wrappers, and fill them with delicious local ingredients, all while sharing smiles and stories.
Once everything is ready, you will sit together and enjoy your freshly made momos with a traditional Tibetan chili sauce or a mild dipping sauce for lunch, turning your effort into a heartfelt shared meal.
In the afternoon, we will gather at our cultural center workshop. Here, you will be guided by local Tibetan experts through meaningful hands-on activities.
You will begin with a peaceful Tibetan meditation session, gently guided in a simple and easy-to-follow way.
After that, our local expert will introduce you to the art of traditional Tibetan incense making, where you’ll experience how natural herbs are carefully blended by hand. You will also print a Tibetan prayer flag pattern, symbols of blessings carried by the wind across the mountains.
What’s more, you’ll have a chance to try writing Tibetan script yourself and appreciate its unique, flowing beauty as an art form. You can take home these precious handmade Tibetan incense, prayer flags, or your own Tibetan calligraphy works as lovely gifts for your family and friends.
Finally, we return to your hotel in the late afternoon, leaving the evening free for rest or a peaceful stroll in Lhasa.

Day 5: Lhasa Tour: Zhaji Temple, and Tibet Museum (B)
After breakfast, let’s enjoy a relaxed visit to one of Lhasa’s hidden cultural gems, Zhaji Temple, the only Tibetan Buddhist temple dedicated to the Goddess of Wealth, Zhaji Lhamo.
This unique and lively temple is especially famous for its traditional practice of offering liquor for Zhaji Lhamo. Here, you may join locals to prepare a bottle of liquor, incense, and a white Hada, then gently join the queue to pray for good health, peace, and good fortune in a truly authentic Tibetan way.
After this enriching experience, you will continue at a comfortable pace to a local Tibetan sweet tea house, where you can sit back and enjoy a quiet moment of relaxation. Surrounded by the cheerful rhythm of local life, you can sip traditional sweet tea and sample light Tibetan snacks while observing the easygoing conversations of locals around you.
In the afternoon, the journey continues to the Tibet Museum, a well-curated space showcasing Tibet’s rich cultural heritage. Here, you will explore fascinating ancient artifacts, beautifully detailed Thangka paintings, and important historical relics that together tell the story of Tibet’s deep and timeless civilization.
We return to your hotel in the late afternoon, leaving you a peaceful final evening in Lhasa to rest and gently reflect on your unforgettable journey across Tibet.
