Yang-tso Guesthouse at the east end of town has a cosy teahouse and a signboard reads "White-snow Lake ZL Sunlight Guesthouse". Toilets without roof give you the most brilliant views of Gurla Mandata.
Hor Qu is a good stop before tourists continue to drive to Darchen for the Kailash trek. It is Manasarovar lakeside, so it is best to stay there and see the sunrise of Manasarovar lake next Morning.
