Lhasa to Namtso Small Group Tour: A Perfect Choice to Keep It Simple and Easy
You will spend the first 3 days in Lhasa and then go to the tranquil Namtso Lake, the highest saline lake and one of the three most sacred lakes in Tibet. When you arrive, our guide and driver will welcome you with a special Tibetan ceremony. Then you will arrive at your hotel, rest and have a welcome dinner before your visiting.
For the following days, you will explore downtown Lhasa: Potala Palace, the winter palace for Dalai Lama, Jhokang Temple and Barkhor Street, etc. You can try some Tibetan tea and momos together with the locals if you like. Also, you will visit Sera, Drepung and Ganden Monastery near Lhasa to unveil the mysterious Tibetan Buddhism, especially through the unique monk debate.
On the 4th day, our guide and driver will take you to Namsto. From there, you can enjoy the snow-capped mountains afar, the views of nomad grazing in grassland and the stunning Qinghai-Tibet Railway, world’s highest railway. The night views of the milky way is a real treat as well - it’s a superb place to take some amazing photos. On the way back, you will be able to see the gorgeous sunrise of Namtso Lake, relax and take a hot bath in Yangpachen hot spring before heading back to Lhasa.
Lhasa to EBC Small Group Tour: Lifetime Memory at the Roof of the World
The usual itinerary in Lhasa is similar to that of Lhasa to Namtso tour, except for the visit of Namtso. However, we can always tailor-make your own trip itinerary anyway. As we leave Lhasa, we’ll head to Shigatse first via Gyantse. On the way, we’ll drive through Yamdrok Lake, another sacred lake known for its turquoise color water. Karola Glaciers is also on the way for you to enjoy. This glacier is known to Chinese due to a movie called Red River Valley, which also includes some sad love story. You will also be able to enjoy the Pelkor Monastery and Gyantse Dzong.
Heading from Shigatse to EBC, you will first visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, the home of Panchen Lama. After passing through Tsola Pass (4600M), and Gyatsola Pass(5248M), you will arrive at Gawula Pass (5198m), where you can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the Himalayan Range. After that, you are in EBC to enjoy the splendid sunrise and sunset of Mt. Everest, and experience the exotic Tibetan tent lifestyle at Rongbuk Monastery, the highest monastery in the world.
