Earn Your Mount Everest Certificate! A Proud Achievement for Your Tibet Adventure
Latest Update: March,24 2026
After all the effort through the cold weather and harsh environment, nothing would be more fulfilling than finishing your Tibet tour with the Certificate of Accomplishing Mt.Everest Visit. It is a certificate you will cherish for a life-long time.
Ever since April 1 2018, Tibet Vista and Qomolangma (Everest) Administration Bureau jointly have presented the EBC certificate to our clients. As the successive award-winning EBC tour operator from 2016, we have successfully organized more than 100 thousand international tourists to visit Tibet and have issued the Certificate of Accomplishing Mt.Everest Visit to over half of them. Many of our guests have kept us updated about how they’re proud of themselves having made to Everest Base Camp years later.

As to the certificate, your Tibetan guide’s name will be on it with a stamp from Qomolangma National Nature Reserve and a handwritten signature of the president of Qomolangma (Everest) Administration Bureau. Once you arrive at Everest Base Camp, you will be awarded with such a precious certificate from our guide - what else can be more soothing after a effortful journey to EBC! The certificate comes with the Everest Base Camp photo in the front. And the back of the certificate has your name and the date you arrived at Everest Base Camp on it.

The following are some amazing photos of our guests that have made it to the Everest Base Camp.
Carefully designed as it is, the EBC tour usually starts by several days in Lhasa for acclimatization first, while exploring Lhasa and places around it, like Potala Palace, Johkang Temple and Sera Monastery, etc.

Then we’ll head for Yamdrok Lake, one of the three most sacred lakes in Tibet, and move on to see Pelkor Monastery and Tashilunpo Monastery in Shigatse, just to name a few.

Normally, on the 5th day, you will be reaching Gawula Pass, 5,198 high above sea level and 100 kilometres and 70 mins of driving to EBC. It is the ideal place for you to get a panoramic view of the Himalayan mountains, which includes Mount Makalu, Mount Lhotse, Mount Everest, Mount Cho Oyu and Mount Shishapama.

Wait, so you have heard of the rumours that EBC was closed? Actually, those are false news. Truth is, in a long-term effort to safeguard the fragile eco-system of Mt.Everest Region, the EBC site has moved to a new spot near Rongbuk Monastery. Meanwhile, the old EBC site was abandoned and taken as part of the core protected zone of Mt.Everest National Natural Reserve, which is forbidden for entry.
Our international friends left the footprints on the Tibetan side of EBC old site.

At this time, the weather in EBC is milder and there’s not much rain, making it the perfect time to get a clear view of the summit. You can have a look at our EBC tour guide here to get an overview of what to pay attention to. If you have any questions, just drop us an email at [email protected] and we’ll sort out things for you.
