Overlooking the entire Lhasa city, Potala Palace(3750m) is the highest Buddhist structure in Lhasa. It involves a long hike (around 432 steps) to reach the entrance of the palace. Therefore, it’s a small challenge for the new-arrivals in Lhasa(3650m). Normally, touring Potala Palace will be arranged on the second or thrid day of your arrival in Lhasa. In this way, tourists can get acclimatized to the high altiitude.

Enjoyed the Superb Vista of Potala Palace on the Rooftop of Jokhang Temple

Jokhang Temple view

To Tibetans, the holiest Buddhist compound is undoubtedly the Jokhang Temple. The enshrined life-size statue of Sakyamuni, crowds of pious Tibetan pilgims and priceless Buddhist artifact, etc. are the highlights of Jokhang Temple. Do climb to the rooftop of the temple to view the panorama of old Lhasa city and famous Barkhor Bazzar down below.

Took Pictures before Touring Ramoche Temple

Touring Ramoche Temple

Widely believed to be a hidden gem in Lhasa, Ramoche Temple together with Jokhang is the most important Temples in Lhasa as they house the two most important Buddha statues brought to Tibet by Brikuti and Wenchen in the 7th century. It only takes about 15min walk from the Jokhang Temple in the Barkhor area of Lhasa. Ramoche Temple is the academy of Gelugpa sec, which qualifies monks to study the Buddhist scriputures. Like Jokhang Temple, Ramoche is full of life with feverent Tibetan pilgrims and world-wide visitors.

Our clients document their memorable journey by snapping photos with EBC landmark. Actually, travelling from Lhasa to EBC is not that easy. You will to have lengthy ride and breathe thinner air compared than that of Lhasa. However, the immensely beautiful Himalayan Mountains, and photogenic alpine lakes and Tibetan villages and monasteries, etc. still make it the most popular destination for Tibet tour.
