2016 Yarlung Tsangpo Ecological and Cultural Tourism Festival of Nyingchi Tibet Kicks Off

2016 Yarlung Tsangpo Ecological and Cultural Tourism Festival will be held from September 26 to 30, aiming to advocate the fabulous natural landscapes and Tibetan folk customs in Nyingchi. At present, everything goes well. Tourists at home and aboard can take part in the six major items as well as thirteen featured activities.

Nyingchi in winter is incredibly fantastic, but visitors are much fewer than summer. In order to promote Tibet winter tour, the Second Yarlung Tsangpo Ecological and Cultural Tourism Festival is chosen to be celebrated at golden autumn. As a platform for cultural exchange , it has not only displayed Nyingchi ethnic culture to the world but also improved the influence of Nyingchi tourism by attracting various groups to travel Nyingchi.

With the theme of "Pure Land - Beautiful Nyingchi", 2016 Yarlung Tsangpo Ecological and Cultural Tourism will last from a whole week. There are 6 big events and 13 special activities, namely, Opening Ceremony, Beautiful Nyingchi Photography Show, Intangible Cultural Heritage Dancing and Singing Performance, National Fitness Campaign, In-depth Lulang Exploration, Lulang Foods Promotion, Lulang Tourism Summit Forum, Tibetan Medicine Development Forum, the Twelfth Tibet Nyingchi Investment and Trade Symposium, Agricultural Products Fair, Intangible Cultural Heritage Products Fair, Tibetan Souvenirs Fair, Closing Ceremony.

The Opening Ceremony and Nyingchi Photography Show will fully display natural ecological resources and folk culture characteristics for you. During the festival, traditional folk art show and Intangible Cultural Heritage Dancing and Singing Performance will be held every day to manifest different ethnic groups' features, like the Gongbu, Monba, Lhoba people, etc. At the same time, an excellent art troupe from Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture is also invited to perform for this grand festival.

With the purpose of accelerating the construction of Nyingchi International Ecotourism Area, Lulang Tourism Summit Forum has invited specialists and scholars from all walks of life to make further discussion on Nyingchi development and explore to establish tourism marketing alliance. Meanwhile, hundreds of experts will join in the Tibetan Medicine Development Forum to make a thorough study on Tibet medicine.
