Tibet global tourism planning mainly focuses on four aspects, namely, Lulang International Tourist Town, Yigong town, Tibet cultural and creative park and Sakya ancient town.It has aimed to highlight Tibetan culture, natural ecology, holy peace and modern fashion and put stress to the transformation from scenic spots to global tourism.

Lulang International Tourist Town in Bayi, Nyingchi

Lying along Sichuan-Tibet highway, about 80 kilometers east of Bayi town, Lulang owns a superb geographical position and abundant tourism resources, enjoying the reputation of "Eastern Switzerland". Lulang features glacial landform, alpine valleys, animal and plant resources. It is also one of the world's top tourism source sites where the glaciers, mountains, canyons, meadows, forests, rivers, lakes and other landscapes coexist. Endowed with unique advantages to develop global tourism, Lulang International Tourist Town has gained a total investment of about 2.5 billion yuan. The masses of peasants and herdsmen have successfully turned to be operational service personnel. At the same time, it has realized the comprehensive exploitation and utilization of tourism resources and become the model of global tourism construction. Lulang Town in Nyingchi will be open to public this year and tourists at home and abroad are warmly welcomed!

Yigong Town in Bomi, Nyingchi

Yigong is rich in waters and Yigong Lake is the top of over 50 freshwater lakes in eastern Tibet. Besides, Yigong tea factory and Yigong Tibetan knife are also very famous. In 2001, it was named as "Tibet Yigong National Geological Park", which is home to the largest group of maritime glaciers, snow mountains, barrier lakes, ice lakes, canyons, waterfalls, hot springs and so forth. Yigong has taken the natural landscape as the foundation, tea culture as the characteristic, mysterious culture, health-preservation culture and folk culture as the vein, accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, shopping and entertainment as the content, and achieved the great development of the regional tourism industry. Other industries like ecological planting and Tibetan handicrafts have also benefited a lot from tourism.

Tibet Cultural and Creative Park

With an available land area of 12,000 mu, Tibet Cultural and Creative Park is located at the foot of Pengbushan, Lhasa. Here tourists can not only appreciate Tibetan culture like Guozhuang dance and Tibet opera performance but also try some plateau specialties including Tibetan medicine recipe, cordyceps sinensis, snow lotus, saffron, etc. Coloful ethnic festivals are also celebrated here, such as Shoton Festival, Tibetan New Year and so on. This park is a live museum for Tibetan traditional culture, fully displaying Tibetan architecture, folk music, ethnic songs and dances, living customs, folk stories and so on. Especially the live show "Princess Wencheng", integrating history, culture, customs and tourism, is an excellent representative of global tourism in Lhasa.

Sakya Ancient Town

Sakya is famous at home and broad for Sakya Monastery-"the second Dunhuang". Since 2013, Sakya government has digged deeper into its historical culture resources, combined ancient town together with the process of unbanization and successfully created Sakya scenic area. Not only has it polished the name card of Sakya but also increased incomes for local Tibetans.
