Ancient Tibetan Classic Donated to Tibet University

An ancient Buddhist scripture, which is believed to have a history dated back to the 18th century, was recently donated to the Tibet University for the purpose of research.

The Buddhist scripture was donated by Tashi Dorje, who is quite fascinated by Tibetan culture. In 2013, he also donated another ancient classic to the university.

"It will be significant if more people can have access to the research of ancient Tibetan classics," said Tashi Dorje.

According to Xiren Zangpo, head of the Research Institute of Ancient Books, the scripture has 464 pages and was written with rare calligraphic materials.

He stated that the social donations of their private collections were of great value to the research of these ancient Tibetan classics.

Xiren Zangpo also thanked the public for their support of the research work.
