Officials of Shigatse Tourism Bureau were announcing the schedule of The 13th Mt. Qomolangma Cultural Tourism Festival

With the approach of the 13th Mt.Qomolangma Cultural Tourism Festival in Shigatse, its first external promotional news briefing was successfully held on Aug, 11, 2015 in Chengdu. Tibetvista.org together with 18 travel agencies, relevant travel associations and 25 news media within Sichuan province were invited to attend the event.

Mt.Qomolangma Cultural Tourism Festival of this year centers around “ Eternal Truth and Auspicious Shigatse” and aims to display cultural and historical development of Shigatse. Meanwhile, by hosting this cultural tourism festival, the organizers hope to further explore the focal value of Shigatse tourism and promote the stable development of its local economy.

Mr. Rong Xinlong, minister of publicity department, was introducing the The 13th Mt. Qomolangma Cultural Tourism Festival.

At the news briefing, Mr. Rong Xinlong, minister of publicity department along with Phubu Tsering, head of Shigatse Tourism Bureau, addressed the press conference respectively and gave a brief introduction of development of Shigatse tourism and delivered their sincere welcome to all the friends and news media.

Visitors were welcomed to taste the Shigatse delicacy.

Shortly after the brief introduction, the lovely sing and dancing performance with Shigatse characteristics was staged and visitors were also treated with traditional delicacies from Shigatse and had a glimpse of how exquisite the Shigatse handicrafts are. The whole event went smoothly and ended up with lively “prize quiz ” on Shigatse travel.
