Tibet's Ngari located in western Tibet with an average altitude is above 4,500 meters, the natural ecological environment is fragile, the average annual temperature is less than 0 ℃, windy weather more than 180 days in every year, an area of 340,000 square kilometers, big enough of 10 Taiwan Province of size, population is nearly 9 million, an average only 1 person per 4 square kilometers, the distance from shiquanhe the capita Ali to Lhasa is equal from Beijing to Changsha, cost 2 to 3 days by car.
 
Kailash is derived from Tibetan transliteration, means "mountain of the gods," "Snow treasure", with Meili Snow Mountain, Animaqing, gadojiaowo together called the fertile four Tibetan Buddhist mountain; it regard as center of the world by Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism and the ancient Bon believers; Resource from Buddhist scriptures, here is Sumeru - Buddha Sakyamuni dojo. Kailash is located Tibet Ali, an average elevation is above 4500 meters, vast and magnificent scenery, but the ecological environment is extremely fragile. With the development of the tourism industry, a large number of devotees and tourists come to Kailash to have pilgrimage, tourism, making the natural environment here under a lot of stress.
 
In order to promote the plateau environmental protection, aroused public concern for the environment on the plateau, Apple launched the Foundation in 2011 Kailash public environmental action, staffed grouped by volunteers to clean the rubbish, promote environmental ideas to improve local farmers and herdsmen, tourists and the faithful of environmental awareness Kailash mountain plateau. Kailash public environmental action was supported by Ali government departments and local military, police, public and foreign tourists, and won wide acclaim from 2011 has been successfully held twice.
 
Kailash public environmental action will last 13 to 16 days, the main activities is along the 52 km of Kailash turning Hill, cleaning up litter, to promote environmental awareness, walking and blessing. Kailash Hill full turn in 4678 ~ 5654 meters above sea level , the highland environment will challenge the physical limits of each volunteer. Volunteers participating in the tour magnificent highland scenery and feel the unique charm of the mountain at the same time, will also participate in public projects of Apple Foundation Ali Tibetan, personally, practice charity.
