When we travel to Tibet, experiencing local Tibetan life can greatly enrich our trip on the Tibetan highland. Do you want to see a preview of Tibetan people’s life in camera?
Tibetan people often wear a short gown with long sleeves made of silk or cloth and a long and loose gown covering it. Traditionally, they like wearing cowhide boot. They will sometimes bare their right shoulder or both shoulders, and tie the sleeves around the waist so as to move easily. Tibetan women like wearing an apron around the waist.
Tibetan people, especially women, like wearing exquisite ornaments, some of which are made of invaluable turquoise and ruby.
Having been exposed to the sun for a long period, their skins are darker than the people living outside the plateau. And because of chilly wind and dry climate, redness is clearly seen on their face, which people call "plateau red".
All those above makes the Tibetans easily recognized among others and naturally they become the frequent "visitor" of photographers. Today we would like to entertain our readers with selected photos capturing vivid images of Tibetan people-from ordinary people to monks, both young and old.
