Tibet Nepal Border Map

With a 3842-kilometer-long land boundary, Tibet has five national border crossings in total, namely, Zhangmu, Pulan, Gyirong, Riwu and Yadong. Only Zhangmu, Gyirong and Riwu were open to Nepal.

Zhangmu border, the previous Sino-Nepal overland gateway, has been closed down since Nepal earthquake. Hence Gyirong border, used to transport goods and supplies, becomes a new port for Nepal Tibet overland tour.
