Tibetan Travel Guru,Master Kungga Dundruk
This 4-day Lhasa tour offers a great meditation experience in Drak Yerpa Monastery, once the sacred practice site for several Masters.
You’ll climb the clifftop Drak Yerpa Monastery, one of the ‘four major hermitages’ in Tibet. Following the footsteps of past masters, you’ll take a meditation in an ancient cave, calm in mind, and connect with the inner peace within yourself.
Afterwards, you'll journey to Sera Monastery, exploring its magnificent temple complex and witnessing the monks' debate, which is a unique and intense practice of Tibetan Buddhism.
Of course, you won't miss iconic landmarks of the holy city, including the majestic Potala Palace and the sacred Jokhang Temple. These sights, once imagined, will now unfold before your very eyes.
In addition to sightseeing, you’ll experience authentic Tibetan life by strolling the lively Barkhor Street and visiting a traditional teahouse. Sit with the locals, enjoy a cup of Tibetan sweet tea, and taste traditional Tibetan noodles...it is the best way to experience the truest Tibetan life.

Day 2: Lhasa Tour - Drak Yerpa and Sera Monastery (B, L)
After breakfast, you’ll take a 30-kilometer drive to Drak Yerpa Monastery from downtown Lhasa. Drak Yerpa Monastery was once the sacred practice site for Master Padmasambhava, Master Tsongkhapa, and King Songtsen Gampo. It is now a popular meditation site near Lhasa. You can explore the ancient monastery and enjoy a breathtaking view of the whole valley and the snow-capped mountains in the distance.
After visiting the monastery, you can take a meditation in one of the meditation caves as you like. Allow your thoughts to wander back to ancient times, breathing and meditating with the ancient sages.
For lunch, you'll get simple meals prepared by us during your practice.
In the afternoon, you’ll head to Sera Monastery, another of the ‘great three’ Gelug monasteries of Tibet, to witness the famous Tibetan Monks Debate (15:00 - 17:00, from Monday to Saturday). Your guide will intricately explain how Tibetan monks engage in these debates to acquire knowledge and advance in their academic degrees.

Day 3: Lhasa Tour - the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street, and Local Teahouse (B)
After breakfast, your first stop is the Potala Palace, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Lhasa Old Town. Discover the lives and stories of the Dalai Lamas through history within the palace, and the extraordinary treasures it holds. The most valuable collections of Potala Palace are the gilded burial stupas of former Dalai Lamas and the meditation cave of the 33rd great king of Tibet.
Then, you will head to the heart of Tibetan religion - the Jokhang Temple. Inside, you can see the statue of Buddha Sakyamuni at the age of twelve. Outside, you can see pilgrims prostrating in front of Jokhang Temple.
After visiting the Jokhang Temple, you can stroll along the Barkhor Street around the temple, follow the kora route with local pilgrims, and explore the lively street markets.
Next, you’ll follow your guide to an authentic Tibetan local teahouse in Lhasa. Sip traditional Tibetan sweet tea alongside local Tibetans as your guide shares insights into Tibetan social dynamics and daily life.
