Our recent Lhasa to Everest Base Camp group tour with Tibet Vista was nothing short of unforgettable. From the very beginning, the company proved to be organized, reliable, and incredibly helpful.
Even before we arrived in Tibet, they were already going above and beyond—helping us book our train tickets from Beijing to Lhasa. They managed to get us the best sleeper cabins, making what could have been a complicated and stressful process completely painless.
That Tibet train journey itself turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip, giving us time to relax, enjoy the changing landscapes, and start to really soak in the sense of adventure.

Tibet Vista’s Outstanding Guide: Lhatse Tenzin Brought Lhasa’s History to Life
Once we arrived in Lhasa, we met our Tibetan tour guide, Lhatse Tenzin, who was simply amazing. It’s hard to put into words how much of an impact he had on the overall experience.
He was calm, warm, and incredibly patient—exactly the kind of presence you want when traveling through high altitudes and unfamiliar places.
But what really stood out was his deep knowledge, especially when it came to the monasteries and temples we visited. His explanations were rich and engaging, never rushed, and he always seemed to know just the right amount of detail to share.
He made history and culture feel alive and personal, and he was always making sure everything was running smoothly behind the scenes, even if we didn’t realize it at the time.

Shared Journeys and Warm Stays: The Unexpected Joys of Group Travel in Tibet
We were lucky with our tour group too. Sometimes with group tours, it can be hit or miss, but in our case, we ended up traveling with a lovely mix of people from all over the world in the Tibet small group tour. It didn’t take long before we all felt comfortable with one another.
By the end of the trip, it felt like we’d built genuine friendships—sharing meals, stories, and incredible sights together. That sense of camaraderie added so much to the experience.
And I think it really speaks to the kind of tour Tibet Vista runs. It attracts people who are curious, open, and there for more than just the photo ops.
The accommodation throughout the tour really surprised us—in the best way. Every hotel or guesthouse we stayed in was clean, comfortable, and felt a step above what we were expecting, especially in such remote areas.
The beds were cozy and we always had hot water and warm rooms, which made a huge difference after long days on the road or strolling around temples. We genuinely had great sleeps every night, which helped keep our energy up and our spirits high.

A Taste of Tibet: Memorable Meals and Meaningful Moments Around the Table
One of the things we looked forward to each day was the Tibetan food. Whether it was a roadside stop or a restaurant in a larger town, the meals were consistently delicious.
Tenzin always had great recommendations, and we felt like we were getting a real taste of the region—not just tourist food.
One meal that stood out was when we visited a local family and shared a traditional home-cooked dinner. It was warm and welcoming, and honestly one of the most memorable experiences of the whole trip.
Sitting around their table, sharing food and laughter, we felt like we got a glimpse into real Tibetan life.

Seamless Journey Through Tibet: Thoughtful Stops, Stunning Views, and Constant Care
Every stop along the tour felt thoughtfully chosen. From the Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple in Lhasa to the high mountain passes and remote monasteries on the way to Everest, each location was visually stunning and full of significance.
There was never a dull moment, and every day brought something new and unexpected. You could feel the care that went into crafting the itinerary—there was a perfect mix of cultural insight, scenic beauty, and time to just take it all in.
What really gave us peace of mind was how good the communication with Tibet Vista was throughout the trip. We always felt like we were supported.
Whether it was checking in before our departure, answering our questions along the way, or just making sure we were comfortable, their team was always accessible and responsive. That made a huge difference in how secure and relaxed we felt the entire time.
The bus we traveled in was clean, modern, and very comfortable, even on some of the longer drives. Our driver was excellent—safe, experienced, and very professional.
Given the nature of the roads in Tibet, that was a big deal. We never once felt uneasy, and the scenery we saw out the windows along the way was nothing short of spectacular.
