We cross the river on a long swaying bridge and follow the trail that leads north up to Benkar (2700m). Then keep crossing Dudh Kosi and climbing to Chumoa. After a short climb to Monjo (2800m), we will arrive at the entrance of Segarmatha National Park. Buy the entrance ticket and register TIMS card (Trekkers' Information Management System) for trekkers’ safety.

Next, we walk to Jorsale, the last settlement before reaching Namche Bazaar. After around 2hours’ climb, we safely make it to Namche Bazaar, the largest Sherpa settlement, and gateway to Everest.

Stay overnight in Namche Bazzar

Day 5: Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar(3,440m/11,284ft)

Namche Bazaar is the main tourist hub and a great place for acclimatization and replenishing supplies before further ascent. You can find everything you need here, trek shops, restaurants, bakeries, pharmacies, hotels with showers, bank, internet café, etc.

We spend a full day here for acclimatization. You can rise up early for the fantastic sunrise over Himalayan Range. and tour the Hillary School and nearby monastery where mysterious Yeti scalp can be seen.

We continue our walk to the Imja Valley and Lobuche River before ascending to Dingboche.

Day 8: Stay at Dingboche for Acclimatization

To minimize the occurrence of acute mountain sickness, we stay a whole day in Dingboche to get acclimatized. Bring your camera with you to capture the photogenic shots.

Day 9: Trek from Dingboche to Duglha (4,600 m/15,090 ft; 4km, 3 - 4 hours)

Though today’s trek won’t last too long, it’s extremely important to aid acclimatization. The trek route is virtually like a string line. Accompanied by sublime Himalayan peaks, we will pass the campsite of the first successful Everest Expedition in 1953. With Mt. Pumori looming ahead as we trek, we are about to continue our travel and go down to the small village Duglha. You can visit Memorial Shrine near Duglha.

Stay overnight in Duglha

Day 10: Trek from Duglha to Lobuche (4940 m/16,207 ft; 4km, 2 - 4 hours)

From Duglha the trails goes directly up the gravely terminal moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. Travelling from Gorak Shep to Everest Base Camp won’t be the most challenging part as you imagine. However, we do need to walk slowly and steadily on glacier trails. When we reach the Everest Base Camp(5364m), you can appreciate the icy towers on the upper part of Khumbum glacier and take iconic photos with the natural monument of EBC. Later, we move into our tents and home for the upcoming weeks' climbing, admiring the stunning panorama of peaks surrounding us.

Stay overnight in tents

Day : Following Days for Mount Everest Climbing

Climbing Tips:

After we reach EBC, the following days for Mount Everest climbing can be extremely flexible. The actual climbing schedule largely depends on weather change and actual acclimatization and performance of team members. If everything goes smoothly as planned, we can end the climbing early. If we face unexpected severe weather, we would add extra days for summiting the Mount Everest.

We will follow the rough climbing schedule below:

For the first several days at EBC, we will get acclimatized the thin air there and follow the guide of Everest summiter to do the trek to surrounding areas such as Kala Patar and Pumori Camp 1.

You are expected to use your gears and do some test climbings for you to get used to icy slopes, and ladder crossing and moving on fixed lines and treacherous glaciers.

As a tradition, before we officially start climbing, we will receive the blessings by local lama in a meaningful Buddhist ceremony.

For the following weeks, we will ascend slowly on the towering mountain and move back and forth to acclimatize to higher altitude and get familiar with challenging terrain there.

Our first goal is to pass the Khumbu Icefall, reaching Camp 1 at almost 20,000' where we will spend a few nights.

Then, we will keep moving up to Camp 2, at the head of the Western Cwm at over 21,000'. We need to spend several nights there to help our bodies acclimatize to the thin air.

Our next challenge would be reaching the Camp3, located at 7239m on the Lhotse Face. Here, you need to improve your climbing skills with fixed lines and get used to using oxygen supply device.

The climbing culminates with the final ascent to Camp 4 at 7924.8m on the South Col. From the South Col we will climb up the Triangular Face to the Balcony, over the South Summit, up the Hillary Step, and all the way to the top of the world!

Day : Descend from Everest Base Camp to Pheriche

As a tradition of finding the way back, we will rise up early to make it to Kala Patthar. Do walk careful during the morning. You will see Lingtren, Khumbutse, and Changtse mountains and sunrise over Mount Everest over mighty Himalayan peaks.

For the following weeks, we will ascend slowly on the towering mountain and move back and forth to acclimatize to higher altitude and get familiar with challenging terrain there.

After spending some time at the summit of Kala Patthar, we walk back to Gorak Shep which becomes much easier. After lunch we descend to Pheriche to spend the night.

Stay overnight in Pheriche

Day : Trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar

We will make a huge descent today around 2,000 feet and a lot of curve and up and down trails will also involve. On the way, you can enjoy again the picturesque snow-blanketed Himalayan peaks and peaceful Shrpa villages. Eventually, we cross the vibrant forest to reach Namche Bazaar.

Stay overnight in Namche Bazaar

Day : Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla

Our descent continues and our Nepali guide will guide you to make the downhill trek to Lukla. After reaching Lukla we spend rest of the day taking rest and celebrate our successful visit to EBC.

Stay overnight in Lukla

Day : Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu
