Bhutan Visa & Permit Application for Myanmar Tourists
According to Bhutan travel policy, other than Indians, Bangladeshis, and Maldivians, all the overseas tourists are expected to book your tour visa a licensed Bhutanese travel agency. So, to Myanmarese, you’d better to book your Bhtuan tour at least one month ahead to sort out the Bhutan Visa and other tour details like hotel booking, dining and tour service. Meanwhile, you need to email the photo of your passport to our travel consultants who will get Bhutan Visa clearance for you. How to Get to Bhutan from Myanmar? Multiple ways to travel from Myanmar to Bhutan.
As mentioned above, since Myanmar and Bhutan has no direct flight. The easiest way is to take flight from Yangon to Bangkok (1h20min) and later take non-stop flight to Paro (3hrs). There are more than 17 flights per day from Yangon to Bangkok. So it can be extremely flexible for you to choose the departure time. The flight from Bangkok to Paro are exclusively run by Druk Air and Bhutan Airlines. If you don’t want a layover in India, then do choose the Druk Air which operates most of the non-stop flights.
If you want to travel to Bhutan by overland, you firstly need to get India Visa and then travel by road to Guwahati, from which you can take flight to Paro with a duration of 1h5min and 3flights per week. Or you can enjoy the overland tour to Alipurduar or somewhere close to Phuentsholing and Gelephu, two of the major overland gateways to Bhutan.
If you opt for an in-depth tour, then take non-stop flight from Yangon to Chengdu (2h40min) and later hop on the Chengdu-Lhasa train to Tibet (36h18min) and further travel down to Kathmandu along Sino-Nepal Friendship Highway by passing mind-blowing EBC and finally fly from Kathmandu to Paro after a short visit in Nepal.
