At present, the China Construction Bank, the Bank of China, the Agricultural Bank of China and the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and the Post Office Saving Bank of China have their own branches in Lhasa.

The Agricultural Bank of China has the most banking outlets in Tibet. In remote towns and villages, the outlets of the Agricultural Bank of China and the Post Office Saving Bank of China are available. For foreign tourists, the best way is to withdraw or exchange enough cash before entering Tibet.
