Tingri is called old Tingri town regarding New Tingri (Shegar) town which is built for the visitors who want to visit Mt. Everest Base Camp. In Old Tingri,to stay in the guesthouse is the only choice, no hot water, no heater, which will be the challenge in the winter. Hotel booking can not be done in advance until tourists arrive there.
Tingri Snowland Guesthouse is about 800m west of the centre of town. You can have a excellent views of the Himalayas from Snowland when you go out from your room to the coutyard. Location: Old Tingri Town, Shigatse
